city IT groups

Call center company TeleTech recently toured Councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, chairperson of the Bacolod Information Technology Team, and members of IT Schools Network led by their chairman Anthony Visitacion and vice chairman Mary Tolentino at their facility in Bacolod City, a press release from the company said.

Site director Michael Sendall led the guests around their 70,000-square feet call center site at Robinsons Metro in Araneta St., in front of the Bacolod airport. The group also attended a presentation by ACE manager Ling Garcia on TeleTech's Near Hire Program, which aims to assist ITSNET member schools and universities in training applicants of TeleTech who almost made it as call center agents, except for lack of required English speaking skills, the press release said.

This program will provide more opportunities for those who did not make the first step of the application process and will give them the necessary skills and confidence to pass the interviews and exams on their second try, Batapa-Sigue said in the press release.*
