Cojuangco announces UNA
candidates for fourth district

Rep. Carlos Cojuangco (Neg. Occ., 4th district) yesterday announced the full slate of the United Negros Alliance in the fourth district of Negros Occidental for the May polls.

The UNA candidate for the fourth congressional seat is La Carlota Mayor Jeffrey Ferrer, while Mae Javellana and Bago Mayor Janet Torres are running for two seats on the provincial board.

Cojuangco reiterated that Bago City will be a free zone for UNA in the race for mayor and vice mayor. Running for mayor are Carlos Mondia and Ramon Torres, both NPC-UNA members, and for vice mayor, George Araneta and Nico Yulo.

Gov. Joseph Maraņon said that if two candidates are nominated by one party to run for the same post, the COMELEC will declare them independents.

The problem is that, because they are independents, they will not be given copies of election returns so some arrangement will have to be made for them to get copies through the congressional or gubernatorial bets of their party, Maraņon said.

Cojuangco said the official UNA candidates for councilors of Bago City are Romeo Obando, Victor Javellana, Maximo Matti, Serafin Jara, Evangeline Magallanes and Rosario Gaudite.

The UNA candidates for Pulupandan are: Mayor - Samson Mondia, Vice Mayor - Julia Semenio, and Councilors - Pedrito Castaņeda Jr., Lowell del Carmen, Eduardo Donasco, Carlos Ginete, Heidi Gonzales, Alberto Jacildo, Tito Jacildo and Salvador Javier, Cojuangco said.

In San Enrique, Cojuangco said their bets are: Mayor - Jilson Tubillara, Vice Mayor - Ma. Victoria de los Santos, and Councilors - Jose Tumbis, Philips Ayson, Mario Magno, Armando Magallanes, Ernesto Debulgado Jr., Glenda Nabua, Pedro Bedayo and Alexander Delfinado. The UNA candidates for La Carlota City are: Mayor - Demie John Honrado, Vice Mayor - David Baga Jr., abd Councilors - Luis Jalandoni III, Ciriaco Sia Jr., Manuel Badillo, Ruel Alvaņez, Julian Chiang, Rosalinda Aguirre, Jeffrey Rumbines, Jose Leonel Bugante, Zaldy Pernito and Jose Luis Miguel Solomon Sicangco IV.

Pontevedra: Mayor - Joemar Alonso, Vice Mayor - Edgar Tomas, and Councilors - Nestor Dojillo, Reymar Gurrea, William dela Torre, Ronel Gavituya, Efren Apurado, Lyndre Moguad, Jimmy Gaban and Geeray Soliguen.

Valladolid: Mayor - Romel Yugore, Vice Mayor - Glory Gomez, Councilors - Dan Yanson, Joenito Duran, Rey Sumugat, Lucius Bodios, Jerry Flores, Elena Apuhin, Noriel Jondonero and Lorna Vedor Volmer.*CPG
