Gloria postpones
return to Negros
BY CARLA GOMEZ

The scheduled visit of President Gloria Macagapal Arroyo to Negros Occidental on Friday to inaugurate two hospitals has been postponed, Gov. Joseph Maraņon said yesterday.

The president was expected to inaugurate the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Memorial District Hospital in Isabela and the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan, attend the groundbreaking of a new airport in Kabankalan City and visit an irrigation project in Moises Padilla, Maraņon had said earlier.

However, Maraņon said the president's visit had been postponed to a later date because the two hospitals to be inaugurated are not ready.

The buildings of the two hospitals are ready but the equipment are not in place yet, he said.*CPG
