Victorias booters
claim two crowns
MA-AO RULES 6-8 DIVISION

Celta de Victorias ruled two divisions at the expense of Bacolod City teams, while Ma-ao United took top honors in the 6-8 division at the close of the Toys R Us-NOFA 5-a-side football festival at the back parking area at the Robinsons Place-Bacolod yesterday.
Victorias, represented by players from Don Bosco Technical Institute, defeated Andres Bonifacio Elementary School, 1-0, for the 11-12 division crown.
The 9-10 division booters from Victorias continued the
mastery over ABES, winning 3-0, in the finals. Maao United underscored
its status as among the province's up-and-coming clubs, averting a Victorias
sweep with a narrow 1-0 win in the 6-8 championship match.

Magalona spikers The spikers from E.B. Magalona took the limelight on the second week of the NOVA-NOCSF Age-Group Volleyball Championships at the St. La Salle College Covered Court in Bacolod City. E.B. Magalona racked seven wins spread in two divisions. Its 10-Under boys' A division triumphed over St. Benilde School team A, 21-16, 21-11 and went on to crush Silay City with a 21-15, 21-11 victory. EBM's 10-Under boys' B squad also contributed to the harvest by
posting two wins, one against SBS team A, 21-10, 21-7 and one over
SBS' team B, 21-5, 21-7. |
