The Central Visayas Regional Athletic Meet will be held March 18-24 in different venues in Dumaguete City, Oriental Negros.

The sports competition will be participated in by 14 divisions from Region 7 consisting of at least 500. Dr. Vivian Ginete, chief of the Physical Education and School Sports Division of DepEd in Central Visayas, said they have conducted an ocular inspection on the playing venues and the billeting areas for the delegates.

She said the province is 80 percent ready to host the CVRAA.

The technical team paid a courtesy call on Gov. George Arnaiz and presented their program for the contest.

Ginete said there will be 18 events this year, including arnis and basketball for the elementary level. Boxing will be strictly supervised by professional referees, and the technical team will impose measures to ensure the safety of players.*MA
