A regional taekwondo tournament in March 25 at SM City Bacolod will be organized by the Negros Taekwondo Union, its head instructor and president, Jimjim Chua said yesterday.

Taekwondo jins from the union's Western Visayas chapters including Aklan, Capiz, Iloilo, Antique, Bago, La Carlota, Ilog, Kabankalan, Sipalay, Talisay, Manapla, Sagay, Cadiz, and Bacolod will participate in the event, Chua told the DAILY STAR.

The event will feature fights from the elementary to the senior level. Chua said that the NTU has also asked for financial support from Mayor Evelio "Bing" Leonardia for the event and that the organization is planning to name the competition after the mayor.

He added that they are still waiting for Leonardia's response.* PP
