The Downtown Bistro owned and managed by entrepreneurs Maggy Echaus and Pie Saturnino, located at the Sea Breeze Hotel in Bacolod City, was blessed recently.

The bistro offers varied choices of dishes for the family,, including gourmet vegetarian dishes for health and diet conscious patrons.

Maggy took up a Healthy Cooking Summer Course in Le Cordon Bleu London, and is an HRM graduate of the Instituto Vatil, Nimus in southern France, a renowned hotel and cooking school

Pie did the interior of the bistro and the renovated hotel rooms. She has a passion for cooking and inventing saucy recipes with a bite. Mayor Bing Leonardia and Vice Mayor Rene Novero cut the ceremonial ribbon, together with Maggy and Pie. A delicious merienda cena, served buffet style, followed.

Lucy Lizares, Raymond Fuentes and Maite Elorde positioned themselves at the veranda to watch the SM fabulous fireworks.

We left Downtown Bistro and proceeded to the plaza to kill some time and it was homeward bound for our group. The plaza was then jampacked because of the Independence Day program sponsored by the City of Bacolod.
