| A
resident of Escalante City who allegedly referred the two helpers to the family
of the Chinese-Filipino businessman who was found dead in his house in Bacolod
City Friday, denied yesterday that he had anything to do with their hiring, the
police said. Wilfredo "Willy" Fransisco said that he did not know any "Ferrer"
and he did not refer the suspect as a houseboy to the family of Fransisco Lim,
64, Police Station 4 commander Inspector Luisito Acebuche told the DAILY STAR
last night. Lim was found dead in the kitchen of his house at Narra Extension,
Corner C.L. Montelibano Avenue, Brgy. Villamonte, in Bacolod City Friday. Their
helpers, a certain "Ferrer" and "Marivic", are the PNP's primary suspects.
Fransisco, who now resides at Greensville, Bacolod City, had worked for the Lim
family for eight years, along with his wife, Acebuche said. Acebuche however,
said that Fransisco denied referring the two suspects to them. He added
that the victim's wife, Lydia Lim, corroborated Fransisco's claim. He
said that when Lim asked who told them that they needed helpers "Ferrer" used
the name "Oca" and seemed to pretend to know Fransisco. "He just pretended,"
Acebuche said. He also said Mrs. Lim decided to go to the NBI to help the agency
produce cartographic sketches of the two suspects after her husband's interment.
"They should surrender if they don't have anything to do with the incident,"
