A big day for fathers

Father's Day will be celebrated this Sunday, for our dearest Papa, Daddy or Tatay, the pillar of the family: kind, understanding, supportive of good ideas, lovable, and a shoulder to cry on.

Hotels, restos, malls and fast food outlets in Bacolod City are preparing for this big day, knowing that Bacoleņos have the penchant for eating out on special days. A Happy Father's Day!

Speaking of Father's Day, Remo Hinlo and wife Elsie Castro-Hinlo are in cloud nine, because, for the first time in so many years, all their children abroad, along with their wives and children, are spending their holidays back home.

They are the eldest Rex and Diane, who are working with a big company in Alberta, Canada, and their son Renzo. Then Raffy, a physical therapist married to Leslie, with three children -- EJ, Louie and Megan; third is Clever and Cecil, both physical therapists with children Rachel and Ryan; Rommel, a chef working in California and Italy, who is married to physical therapist Cris; and youngest. Rhea, a speech therapist.

They are now getting invitations from family, friends and relatives and frequenting beautiful beaches and resorts.

Remember:

God's miracles are all around, within our sight and touch and sound.*
