Sharp, Condura wrest bowl titles

Sharp and Condura/ASSFBI Ladies bagged the crown in the men's class A division and women's category, respectively, of the Sharp Philippines Open Trio Friendship Cup Bowling Tournament at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City Wednesday night.

ESD Triple-C Dental Lab snatched the title in class B bracket.

The Sharp pintopplers managed by Irnie Diaz drubbed Mulo Aircon Services, 375-364, in the title march to bring home the crown.

Zards Odango, Rey Balaan, Mandoy Hervias Itik Ibanez, and Fred Empio carried the colors of the champion squad, while Wilson Casas, Edgar Del Leon, Romulo Ramos played for the losing finalist Panasonic represented by Rey Gargar, Tikboy Empleo, Joel Huertas, Abe Leong settled for second runner-up, while Barangay I/ASSFBI led by Sammy Gaitan, placed third.

In the women's department, Condura Ladies overcame the twice-to-beat Lady Dragon in the final showdown to grab the title.

Carrying the colors for the champion team were Juliet Regollo, Sylvia Del Rosario, Leah Javier and Arlene Memoria.

ON-BACIBA I and ON-BACIBA II placed second and third runners-up, respectively. ESD Triple-C composed of Allan Baer, Cesar Sumaylo, Steve Ramos and Dan Dadivas also pulled off an upset by trouncing twice-to-beat Davies Paint, represented by Rommel Jover, Marlon Jochico, Ramon Guinson, and Edgar Jerez, in the championship match.

Negros Professional Bowlers Club/MJS and Silverado settled for second and third, respectively. The members of NPBC team are Matt Gaudite, Hernand Garciniego, Nonoy Gomez, Willy Mahilum, Carlo Boyero, Steve Po, and Frank Popioco. *HLG
