VIS-MIN JUNGOLF CIRCUIT
Dulay, Yang rule Bacolod leg

Chepe Dulay spearheaded the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club charge in the Bacolod leg of the 3rd Vis-Min Youth Golf Circuit by ruling the Class A division at the NOGCC in Bacolod City recently.

Dulay carded rounds of 77 and 76 to win by four strokes over second placer Dingdong Woo of Del Monte Golf, who finished with a two-round total of 157. It was Dulay's fourth crown, although he was unable to clinch player of the year honors due to his failure to participate in the Cagayan leg held at the Del Monte Golf and Country Club May 18-19.

The 15-year-old Dulay, a junior at the University of St. La Salle, also topped the Cebu leg by firing a two round total of 145 at the Cebu Golf and Country Club.

The player of the year honors in the Class A division went to Art Arbole, whose best finish in the three-leg circuit came in the Bacolod leg, where he ended up second runner-up.

NOGCC's Jae Yang and Erwin Madrileno made it a 1-3 finish for Marapara in the special division. Yang and Madrileno, however, skipped the Del Monte and Cebu events, ruling them out of contention for player of the year honors.

Banny Albanio of Del Monte was the runaway winner for player of the year honors, following victories in Del Monte, Cebu and a first runner-up finish in Bacolod.

In Class C, NOGCC bets Paolo De Leon and Michael Uhlmann took the second and third places, respectively in the Bacolod leg.

De Leon submitted a 168 on rounds of 81 and 87, while Uhlmann had a two-round aggregate of 169. They trailed winner and eventual player of the year LJ Go of Cebu, who capped his campaign with a 155.

Del Monte's Ramir Roque sealed the player of he year honors in Class D by reigning supreme in the Bacolod leg. Roque posted a 170, ahead of NOGCC's Rafa Marchadesch, who finished with a 182.

The other NOGCC jungolfers who competed in the tournament are Gio De Leon, Ivan Villarosa, Juan Carlos Torre, Pepito Rico, Cholo Tupas in Class C, Chester Chua, Jason Villarosa and Renzo Tupas in Class D and Joeleo Torrecampo and Alonzo Reyes in the special division. *CPT
