Man shot dead
for bad singing

A pawnshop messenger was arrested by a security guard for allegedly stealing the bag of a woman in Bacolod City yesterday, the police said.

Aries Diojenes, 27, was nabbed by Frias Jose Guinonoy, a security guard detailed to the Capitol Lagoon, when he allegedly tried to steal the bag of Jennifer Sibonga, 30, of San Sebastian Village, Brgy. Villamonte, Bacolod City at the park at about 5:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police records showed that Diojenes tried to escape but Guinonoy caught up with him at Punta Capri, Brgy. 8 in Bacolod and endorsed him to Police Station 2. Diojenes however, said that a man told him he is Sibonga's husband, and asked him to get the bag because he and his wife had an argument.

Diojenes' wife, Michelle, also said that the suspect was just framed.*PP
