Barangay captains to train
in custodial investigations
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Dumaguete City Peace and Order Council is inviting at least 18 barangay captains to be trained in various subjects including custodial investigation and procedures on drug operations on July 14, at the Plaza Maria Luisa building.

Proliferation of illegal drugs has remained as the topmost concern of Dumaguete, especially with the opening of classes next week. Meanwhile, efforts to address the menace led by Mayor Agustin Perdices and the police under Supt. Dionardo Carlos continue. The 18 barangays have been identified as having been affected by the drug menace.

The seminar will be held with members of other law enforcement agencies like the police, NBI and PDEA.*JG
