Pag-IBIG Fund to sell
more foreclosed units

The Pag-IBIG Fund will continue to dispose of its foreclosed housing units, including those in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, until October 31 this year.

The program, "Magaang Pabahay, Disenteng Buhay," was supposed to end on April 30 but has been extended for six months, and now includes non-Pag-IBIG members.

Imelda Gerangaya, Pag-IBIG Bacolod branch attorney, said the housing units are being sold at 20 percent discount for cash purchase and at 15 percent discount, if through a housing loan, at an interest rate of six percent per annum for loans up to P300,000.

The buyer will also be given a five percent additional litigation discount if the unit is illegally occupied.

Based on list of the Acquired Assets Section, Pag-IBIG Bacolod branch has disposed 169 units as of April 30 but with program extension, 100 units more are up for sale through July. Some units are situated in San Dionisio Subdivision in Bacolod City, Marine Bay Homes in Bago City, Concepcion Village and Grandville Subdivision in Cadiz City. Others are located in the cities of Victorias and Kabankalan and E.B. Magalona town.

Pag-IBIG Fund is also offering 256 eligible acquired assets for sale in Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz and Guimaras.*NLG
