| The Negros Museum recently launched the Negros Museum
Children's Program with Bacolod City first lady Elsa Leonardia and Congressional
spouse Patching Puentevella, leading the ceremonial shower of confetti, at the
re-opening of the Tuklas Children's Center, a press release from the organizers
said. Tuklas Children's Center directress Lyn Loarca-Mapa
explained that Tuklas, a Hiligaynon word which means "to discover" embodies the
Center's aims to provide cultural enrichment to children and their families. Negros
Cultural Foundation officers who attended the event were NCF president Lyn Gamboa,
vice-president Cristina Montelibano, and members of the Board of Trustees Lita
Cruz, Yolly Kilayko, and Cely Jugo. Guests included parents of the Pre-school
program, faculty from University of St. La Salle, and artists, the press release
said. Ongoing programs of the TCC include a Pre-School for
2 to 5 year olds, a Children's Library will open to the public on Saturdays, and
a year-round art workshop featuring cartooning, teen theatre, visual basics, oil
painting and photography. Those interested in the TCC and
