Neg. Occ. guv
extends leave
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Negros Occidental Gov. Joseph Maraņon yesterday said he is extending his leave of absence for one more week on his doctor's advice.

The governor had gone on forced leave staring July 17 that was to end on July 29.

Maraņon said his doctors advised him to get some rest.

However, he continues to monitor developments in the province from his home. Vice Gov. Isidro Zayco will be acting governor for another week, he said.*CPG
