GACPA bags title in
PICPA bowlfest

The Government Association of Certified Public Accountants ruled the Philippine Institute of Certified Accountants Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

The winning team beat the Association of CPA's in Commerce and Industry, 533-529 to win the title.

The champion squad was composed of (PAGCOR), Roger Flores (DBP), Ruby Gliz Cordero (Province), Edgar Allan del Rosario, Jocelyn Sumugat, Edmon Yanson and Mark Nicavera (BIR), while Juliet Regollo, Phil Magbujos, Nonoy Duhon, Jeffrey Artica, Mona Mahi, Celia Mahi, and Eric Lapres played for ACPACI. Bantilan, Maghari and King Partners were second runner-up.

Meanwhile, the two-day 1st Mayor Ramon "Monet" Torres Cup Open Trio Bowling Tournament rolls off Saturday at the Plaza Arcade Bowling Alley in Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Bago City Bowlers Association president Joel Basiao said the event is a five-game series tournament where the top three squads will battle for the top prize in an up-the-ladder system on July 29, to determine the champion.

Hostilities will start at 1 p.m. Teams that have already signified their intention to join are Mulo Aircon Services Bowlers, Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers Inc.- Bacolod, Negros Professional Bowlers Club, Sharp Phils., Barangay I/Amor ESD, Silverado ASSFBI, Panasonic, BACBA and others.*HLG
