ON BIZMAN’S SLAY
Manhunt for two helpers still on

The police said yesterday that a manhunt will be waged against the two house helpers tagged in the killing of businessman Francisco Lim in Bacolod City last month.

Police Station 4 commander, Senior Inspector Luisito Acebuche, said that they are only waiting for the release of a warrant for qualified theft against Pereel Pineda, 22, and his 17-year-old live-in partner from the Bago City Prosecutor’s Office to start their search.

The two are reportedly hiding in a town in Southern Negros Occidental, their cousin who identified Pineda thru the artist sketch released by the National Bureau of Investigation recently said.

Reports also said Pineda has been charged with theft for stealing a goat owned by his previous employer in Bago City before he and alias “Marve” allegedly stabbed and hacked Lim fatally in his house at Narra Extension, C.L. Montelibano Avenue, Brgy. Villamonte on June 14.

The suspects reportedly fled with about P20,000 in cash and hid in Bago City, Acebuche said.

Meanwhile, NBI supervising agent Ramilo Quinto said that they will file qualified theft and murder charges against Pineda and “Marve.”*PP
