La Salle football tilt set
BY CEDELF TUPAS

Elementary boys and high school girls’ teams set to see action in this year’s NOPSSCEA tournament will get a feel of the competition they will be facing when the University of St. La Salle-Youth Football Center Development Cup Football Tournament kicks off Saturday at the USLS pitch.

Two titles are at stake in the tournament that will run until Aug. 11, project director Roger Banzuela, who is also chairman of the NOPSSCEA Sports Task Force, said.

The competition includes the girls’ Under-18 tournament and the elementary boys’ division, he said.

“This tournament will serve as a pre-NOPSSCEA competition that will give players the needed exposure and experience before the actual competition from Sept. 22-29,” Banzuela added. *CPT
