Memorial park launching set

The launching and groundbreaking ceremony for a new memorial park in Dumaguete City will be held on July 28 at 9 a.m., in Brgy. Cadawinonan, a press release from the management said.

A ceremonial lowering of the time capsule will be held, although construction officially started in April yet. The administration building, which also doubles as the marketing office, will be blessed at the same time. Dumaguete Mayor Agustin Perdices, Dumaguete Lifetime Properties Co., Inc. president Edward Uy, corporate secretary Raymund Mercado, as well as members of the Board of Dumaguete Lifetime Properties, Inc., will attend the rites, the press release said.

The public is invited by the management of the Gardens Memorial Park to attend the activity. Facilities and amenities of the park include a wide concrete roads, underground concrete drainage, complete electrical and water facilities, perimeter fence, chapel, administration building, comfort rooms distributed in three locations, wide parking areas, parks and playgrounds, round-the-clock security.

It is the first in the Oriental Negros, with provisions for bone ossuary and crematorium, the press release said.

The memorial park, touted as the "biggest and most modern" in the province, will open on Nov. 1. Developer and general contractor is Lotiff Construction, which also serves as the exclusive marketing arm of the project, the press release added.*
