Class '86, '79 top
quarters of bowlfest

Class '86 and Class '79 topped the quarterfinal rounds to grab the twice-to-beat incentive in their respective divisions in the 12th St. Joseph High School - La Salle Alumni Bowling Tournament at Lopue's East Bowling Centre in Bacolod City.

The Kid Leyes-led Class '86 pintopplers are leading the Class A category with 6,043 pinfalls, while Class '79, spearheaded by Boy Wingpo, are on top in the Class B bracket with 5,505 balls.

Romeo Dellomes, of Class '68 and Lucia Calumba, of Class '78 took the No.1 spots in the battle for the master bowler titles in the men and women's divisions, respectively.

The other competitors in the up-the-ladder system are Class '78, Class '68, Class '84, and Class '83 in the Class A division. Also vying for the title in Bracket B are Class '85, Class '75, Class '81 and Class '82.

The individual battles scheduled today are between Elmer Libo-on of Class '78 and Melot Alimon of Class '68 at 3 p.m and Leny Jupillo and Tata Yanson in the distaff side.

The winner between Libo-on and Alimon will advance to a showdown against Romulo Ramos. Dellomes is already assured of a finals slot. Other games scheduled today are between Class '83 and Class '84 at 4 p.m, and Class '82 against Class '81 in category B.*HLG
