CLMMRH employees paid
BY CARLA GOMEZ

The delayed salaries of the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital employees were paid yesterday morning, Dr. Jaime Bernadas, the new CLMMRH chief, said.

Bernadas said P1,621,510, inclusive of the 10 percent salary increase, was paid for the employees' salaries from July 1 to 15. The hospital has 457 employees.

Bernadas Monday took over the post of Dr. Domingo Vega who was transferred by Health Secretary Francisco Duque III to the DOH regional office in Cebu along with Dr. Benito Bionat, CLMMRH chief of clinics.

Bionat, however, has filed for a leave instead of going to Cebu.

He has been replaced by Dr. Epifania Simbul of the National Children's Hospital in Quezon City, while Carlito Pilirin of the Davao Regional Hospital in Tagum takes over as hospital administrator from Bryan Baylon who has been suspended for 90 days.

The takeover of the CLMMRH management stemmed from complaints of the excessive and anomalous purchase of oxygen at the hospital.

Bernadas said his team will monitor the oxygen consumption at the hospital to determine how much supply it really needs.*CPG
