Capadocia promoted
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita yesterday announced that President Gloria Arroyo has approved the promotion of Press Assistant Secretary Jose D. Capadocia to Press Undersecretary for Media Relations.

He replaces former Undersecretary Isabel C. de Leon.

Among the tasks of the Undersecretary for Media Relations is to assist the Press Secretary in ensuring that liaison with representatives of local and foreign media is effectively coordinated and maintained; and to take responsibility in providing assistance to media representatives on matters relating to the activities of the President, including the policies, programs and activities of the Government. He also has direct supervision over the Media Accreditation and Relations Office, the International Press Center, and the Press Working Area.

As a journalist in the 1980s and 1990s, Capadocia frequented Negros Occidental, especially for the coverage of news involving the military for the national media.*CPG
