Bacolod Tay Tung High School and St. Benilde School collide when the Sharp Cup 12-Under basketball tournament opens at 9 a.m. on July 21 at BTTHS gym in Bacolod City.

St. Rose of Lima School and Mansilingan Christian Academy duel at 10:30 after a brief opening ceremony that will be keynoted by Roger Banzuela, NOPSSCEA Sports Task Force chairman and USLS sports director. Other probable teams in the age-group event like Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod and Davies Paint, will see action either on Sunday or the following week, league organizer Bing Soyao said.

During the coaches' meeting Saturday, Soyao also said that the Sharp Invitational 17-Under category will have BTTHS, SBS, SRLS and MCA in action.

Both age-group events will be played in a double round robin elimination and crossover semifinals.

Coaches Bobby Te of BTTHS, Christian Escote of SBS, Butch Cinco and sports coordinator Emy Magbanua of SRLS were among the representatives who attended the final meeting.*
