| Twenty-nine residents of Brgy. Magsaysay, Cadiz City,
Negros Occidental, received land titles through the "Handog Titulo Program" of
the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Office, recently, a DENR-CENRO
press release said. The Land Management Sector of CENRO-Cadiz
last year identified 127 hectares of public alienable land for distribution to
the residents, followed by a "pulong-pulong" or People's Day, and a survey.
Present at the turnover of titles ceremony were Rep. Alfredo Maraņon III, Cadiz
Vice Mayor Samson Mirhan, Councilor Patrick Escalante, city PNP chief Jefferson
Descallar, Ernesto Laspinas of the PENRO, representatives from the Register of
Deeds, Office of the Assessors, local officials, and residents of the neighboring

fair set tomorrow
The News and Current Affairs Department of ABSCBN-Bacolod is holding a jobs fair
called "Trabaho Patrol" 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow, at the Panaad Park and Stadium,
in Bacolod City, a press release from the station said. There
will be 37 hiring agencies and skills training providers accepting applications,
among them the OWWA, POEA, DOLE, NSO, NBI, SSS , Philhealth, DFA as well as the
Provincial Public Affairs Office for mobile passporting, DTI, DOST, TESDA, Carlos
Hilado Memorial State College and private entrepreneurs. Livelihood
opportunities are in silkscreen printing, styropore cutting, macrame, soap-making,
food processing, bar-tending and reflexology, and others, the press release said.
