Bowlfest kicks off Sunday

The Active Solid Strikers Fellowship Bowlers, Inc. and Firefly Bowlers will be hosting the one-day 1st "Tinaglimahan" Bowling Championship on Sunday at the New Top's Millennium Plaza in Bacolod City.

Pintoppling action will start at 1 p.m.

Gift certificates worth P22,000 await the top three winners in two divisions to be contested. ASSFBI president Edgar Allan Del Rosario said the No.1 team after three rounds of competition, will earn the twice to beat edge while the top six bowlers in the men and ladies' department battle for the top prize.

A maximum of seven players are allowed in each team. Players are allowed to use personal balls.

Team handicappings will be imposed as follows: ABBCC + 0; BBBBC+ 0; ABCCC + 2; BBBCC + 2; ACCCC + 4; BBCCC + 4; BCCCC+ 6, and CCCCC + 8.

Tournament director Dionelo Dadivas, said only players who have played at least two games in the elimination phase will be allowed to play in the up-the-ladder championship.

Registration is pegged at P2,000.*HLG
