DAR turns over
infra projects

The Department of Agrarian Reform-Siquijor turned over eight infra projects covering five municipalities, recently, a DAR press release said.

These projects are repair or rehabilitation of the Pili-Canghunog-hunog farm-to-market road costing P2.06 million; repair/rehabilitation of Timbaon-Cangmonag Road with box culvert - P753,373; repair of Licoan-Bogo farm-to-market road -- P1 million; concreting of Lotloton Communal Irrigation System Lined Canal - P300,000; rehabilitation of Capalasanan 3-classroom elementary school building - P215,000; repair of Licoan H.E. Building - P151,000; repair of Catulayan 2-classroom elementary school building - P351,000; repair of Cang-asa 2-classroom elementary school building - P658,430; and rehabilitation of Banban 2-classroom elementary school building - P666,667.

Present at the turnover of the projects were Gov. Orlando Fua; Rep. Orlando "Shane" Fua, Jr.; DAR VII regional director Datu Yusoph Mama; Public Affairs staff director Hugo Yonzon, III, and his assistant Norma Padigos; Provincial Agrarian Reform Officers Grace Fua (Oriental Negros), and Teresita Depenoso (Siquijor); mayors Ellery Clint Orquillas (E. Villanueva), Orville Fua (Lazi); Rebecca Padayhag (Maria); Edwin Quimno (San Juan); Richard Quezon (Siquijor); OIC Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Fernando Po; barangay officials; and DAR staff, the press release said. Certificates of land ownership awards were also given to 141 farmer beneficiaries, the press release added.*
