Gov't agencies to hold
training on product dev't

A Seminar on Product and Process Improvement will be held on July 17 to 19, 2007 at Casa Noble in Lacson St., Bacolod City.

The three-day training will be organized by the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Science and Technology and the Association of Negros Occidental Food Processors Inc. Experts from DOST Industrial Technology Institute in Manila will be the resource speakers.

The training, open to all food processors and other service providers, and would be entrepreneurs, aims to provide participants relevant information on food preservation, safe usage of food additives products and process improvement and the use of quality control measures that would allow manufactures capability to produce quality and safe food products.

The speakers will discuss the overview of food preservation, causes of food spoilage, nature and characteristics of food additives, quality control measures, overview of shelf-life determination and Bureau of Food and Drug requirements for product registration.
