Successful entrepreneurs in Bacolod
City and Negros Occidental will share their stories and talk about trends and
opportunities, and on how to start a business venture at the Go Negosyo sa Bacolod
forums on July 13 at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum.
The forums aim to inspire the audience. Who else can inspire them but the entrepreneurs
themselves, Ramon Lopez, executive director of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship,
said. The group is the organizer of the two-day Go Negosyo Caravan, which will
also feature successful entrepreneurs from Manila.

training on product dev't
A Seminar on Product and Process Improvement
will be held on July 17 to 19, 2007 at Casa Noble in Lacson St., Bacolod City.
The three-day training will be organized by the Department of Trade and Industry,
Department of Science and Technology and the Association of Negros Occidental
Food Processors Inc. Experts from DOST Industrial Technology Institute in Manila
will be the resource speakers.



SMEs
can now locate
gov't lenders via text
The
location and contact numbers of government financing agencies can now be accessed
through text messaging.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
yesterday launched in Makati City the "Micro Asenso!" Text Facility that will
enable small and medium-sized businessmen to locate micro-financing centers right
in their areas, a press release from Malacaņang said.
At
the launching in Renaissance Hotel, Arroyo pushed the green button for the template
message that the country's more than 60,000 small entrepreneurs can text to Globe's
2973 to get information on the P180-billion credit market available through the
more than 3,000 micro-financing institutions across the country.
