Tuting donates for housing
BY RENE GENOVE

The family of Mayor Agustin Perdices is donating a more than half a hectare lot to the Habitat for Humanity, in response to the housing for the poor program of the Dumaguete City government.

The property is located in Barangay Candau-ay and valued at about a million pesos. In his message at the oath taking rites Friday at the City Session Hall, Perdices said the donation is in accordance to the thrust of his administration to embark on a more aggressive housing program, especially for the less fortunate.

Perdices said he is asking those who have been blessed with material wealth to also support the housing projects of the city, in partnership with the Habitat for Humanity, Mother Rita Housing Project and the Gawad Kalinga.*RG
