Another murder case
filed vs. 3 guards

The police has filed another murder case against the three security guards allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of two Task Force Mapalad members in Hacienda Velez-Malaga, Brgy. Robles, La Castellana.

This brought to two the murder cases already filed by the La Castellana police against the respondents identified as Warren Fernandez, Felix Sadiaca and Enrique Maliksi, all members of the Cornerstone Security Agency.

The three are now detained at the Provincial Jail, for the killing of Garcesa and Ely Tupas on June 4. Senior Inspector Regidor Alvarado, La Castellana police , yesterday said he has instructed his investigator to fast-track the filing of frustrated murder charges against the three security guards, for the injuries of six TFM members.

Maliksi, who was reported to have fired his gun as shown by the results of a ballistic test, also tested positive for gunpowder nitrates, police said. The security guards invoked self-defense in the shooting of TFM members, who, they claimed, opened fire at them.

Alvarado said murder charges were also filed against some hacienda workers, for the death of Pepito Santillan Sr, also a TFM member, who was killed in a strafing incident in the hacienda, early this year.

Romeo Baldevarona, provincial officer of the Commission on Human Rights, said they have turned over sworn statements of TFM members to the La Castellana police, to help in filing additional cases against the suspects.*GPB
