Tupas back as
Neg. Occ. CIDG prov'l chief

Police Inspector Rodolfo Tupas is back as the provincial officer of the 601st Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Negros Occidental.

Tupas replaces Supt. Khasmir Disomangcop who was designated as the CIDG provincial officer of Camarines Sur in the Bicol region.

Disomangcop took over the command of the 601st CIDG from Tupas last year. SPO2 Rosendo Bersal, CIDG investigator, yesterday said Tupas re-assumed the 601st CIDG command on Thursday from Disomangcop.

Disomangcop became controversial after he led a team of CIDG operatives in raiding the house of businessman Frank Nazareno in Moises Padilla for illegal possession of firearms, shortly before the campaign period for local government officials.

Nazareno was later elected as mayor of Moises Padilla town.

Meanwhile, Senior Inspector Samuel Mina yesterday formally assumed command of the E.B. Magalona Police Station, from SPO1 Leonardo Cobing who was the officer-in-charge of the town police for more than a month. Senior Inspector Santiago Rapiz who was relieved as the E.B. Magalona police chief on May 12, is now the police chief of Candoni, Negros Occidental.*GPB
