A new spa

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

A new spa, Diva Beauty Lounge and Day Spa, recently opened at SM City in Bacolod, with prominent personalities present.

Bacolod first lady Elsa Leonardia, businesswoman and spa director Jeanette Tongoy, Pinky Hautea and philanthropist Kees Koelman, led the ceremonial cutting of ribbon.

Fr. Ernesto Javier, the owners' uncle, jetted in from Cebu to officiate at the blessing of the establishment.

Guests, who included society columnists Buddai Piccio and Lucy Lizares, were among those who experienced the state-of-the-art technology of the spa.

Eunice Estipona, from the International Council for Complementary Medicine, is the consultant of the spa. Tongoy was international regional manager for Asia and the Middle East of KMS.

A garden show sponsored by the Negros Occidental Garden Club was also recently held at SM Mall. The club featured various plants, all of which were for sale. NOGC also held a forum on gardening and plant care with agriculturist and pomologist Pete Aplaon as speaker, while ornamental horticulturist and certified plant tissue culturist Francisco Te Jr. gave a lecture on "Proper Plant Care and Maintenance."*
