Bacoleņos abroad,
inauguration

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

The Class '80 of the Negros Occidental High School inaugurated the "House of Faith" at the NOHS grounds. Through the efforts of their class president Dr. Rizalde Racca, project chairperson Em Legaspi-Ang, and core group members Dr. Dang Filasol, Nelsie Popen, Anna Magalona, Ging-ging Gautier-Panisa, Inday Espina, Dexter Yap, and classmates, the batch raised funds for the construction of the edifice.

After the inauguration and snacks, the batchmates proceeded to the newly constructed rooftop of Em Ang's residence. It was like they were in where there are fountains, waterfalls and a beautiful garden, adding glamour to the ambiance.

Guests enjoyed the sumptuous buffet dinner at the rooftop gazebo and they sang and danced until the wee hours of the morning.

Before coming back to Bacolod for the holidays, my high school batchmate, now a resident of Canada, Juancho Lizares Baylon, recently went to Seoul, South Korea where he met his Korean friends to do some hiking. Meanwhile, Jocelyn Araneta, also of Bacolod City, and a Canada resident for over 20 years now, recently got engaged to Rob Northy, a member of the Canadian Army. She teaches Aerobics and Tai-chi in Canada and a believer of the Dalai Lama.*
