The Negros Lions Sightfirst Foundation Inc. will
conduct another eye camp 8 to 12 a.m. tomorrow at the BAYS Center,
Bacolod City, a press release from the group said.
It will be held in cooperation with the city
government headed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who will extend PhilHealth
ng Masa benefits to less privileged cataract patients.
About 1,000 patients from different barangays
of Bacolod will avail of diabetic detection, blood pressure checks
and consultation, eye acquity and screening for cataract and glaucoma,
eye refraction, and free eyeglasses, the press release said.
Participating Lions clubs are Mt. Kanlaon, Bacolod
City Kanlandog, Occidental Negros "Host," Bacolod City "Host," Bacolod
Traders, Bacolod Sampaguita, Bacolod Capitol and Bago City "Host,"
the press release added.*

launches TV program
The Bacolod police will launch a television program,
"The Police Hour", at 10 a.m. today at F Channel 13, a press release
from the city police said.
The program to be hosted by Chief Inspector Carmencita
Saliba, Chief Inspector Noel Manaay, and Senior Inspector Adonis
Rosales, will be aired live every Saturday 10 to 11 a.m. and replayed
every Sunday, from 11 to 12 a.m.
Guests will be officers-in-charge, staff officers
and station commanders of Police Stations 1 to 10. The program is
aimed at informing the public about various projects, activities,
the vision and aspirations of the Bacolod City Police Office and
the PNP, the press release added.*

supply of
water announced
There will be low water pressure to no water supply
in portions of its service area due to the breakdown of Well No.
22 at Vista Alegre, a press release from the Bacolod City Water
District said yesterday.
Areas affected are JJ Gonzaga, Bakyas, Rosario Heights,
AM-AMCI, Fuentebella, Suntal, Eufemia, Villa Socorro, Las Palmas,
Doņa Juliana, City Heights, Taculing, Libertad, Magsaysay, Airport,
Tangub, Gardenville, Magsungay, Lopez Jaena and Henrietta Village,
the press release added.*
