An intimate wedding
It was one of the most unique wedding invitations I ever received,
the one from Teepee Sarabia Lacson and Martin Santiago. It was in
story form and it made sure that everyone close to the bride had
a part in her wedding .
Her maids of honor were her two sisters Carla and Ria and her
two brothers RJ and Patrick were the best men. Cute little Daniel
Lacson III walked with his daddy, Patrick, to the altar with the
rings. Bridesmaids were mostly high school friends with cousin Natalie
Lacson, Julia Morales, and radiant bride to be Connie Lacson Jimenez
also walking the aisle. New bride Katrina Trebol Villapando and
Teepee's high school friends were secondary sponsors. Among the
close friends and family who came for the wedding were Undersecretary
Dong Sarabia, PNOC chairman Waldo and Chona Flores and Joe Chan.
Handsome eligible groomsmen were Andrew Montelibano, her cousin,
and Jan Lao. Readers were Anya Torre, another bride-to-be, and Kat
Dumancas, one of Teepee's favorites from her CISV days. It was a
surprise to everyone when Teepee decided to return to New York to
continue her studies, after surviving the 9/11 attack on the Twin
Towers where worked, but GOD had a plan for her because she found
her true love there. A few weeks ago she married her true love Martin
Santiago at the Triumph of the Holy Cross Church in Bacolod City.
It was a small and intimate wedding with Teepee's group from the
Cursillo and CISV together with classmates and close friends present.
Martin grew up in the land of milk and honey so only a few of his
family members were present but the two parents, Bitay and Tina
Lacson, and Tom and Sonia Santiago hit it off well. Daddy Bitay
glowed with pride while walking Teepee to the altar. During dinner
he told everybody the love story of Teepee and Martin.
Mommy Tima and Maninay Millie Kilayko, the creative business partner,
made the wedding unique, from the invitation to the glowing red
lanterns and unique table cloths at the Business Inn.
The newlyweds are on the way back to the USA to start a new life.
Remember: "Sometimes God who knows the best sends us sorrow as
a test, sometimes He will wound a heart, greater wisdom to impart.
We can't always understand God's will but we know it's right."*
