BY RENE GENOVE

A 48-year old farmer stabbed his wife and two sons due to an alleged misunderstanding in their home Sunday in Barangay Amdus, Bindoy, Oriental Negros.

Police said Abraham Dagle stabbed his wife Natividad, 47, and sons Benjie, 25, and Juneboy, 22, both single and laborers. The victims suffered wounds in the abdomen and hands and were brought to the Bindoy District Hospital by responding authorities for treatment. Benjie was later brought to the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital.

The suspect, however, escaped after the stabbing, police said.

Meanwhile, in Sta. Catalina, police arrested Krisanto Piacidad, 21, single, of Barangay Tinago, Dumaguete, for stabbing James Macapanas, 27, married, of Brgy. Maloh, inside the barangay dance hall for no apparent reason.

Macapanas was brought to the Siaton Hospital for treatment by responding policemen assigned in the area. He was later transferred to Silliman Medical Center Foundation in Dumaguete.

Recovered from the crime scene by SPO1 Edward Cudias, was one 71/2-inch stainless hunting knife with bloodstains. Piacidad is now detained in Siaton Police Station.*RG
