The technical committee of the Western Visayas Private Schools
and Athletics Association will conduct a final inspection of the
playing venues of the National PRISAA Games in Iloilo today.
Roger Banzuela, Region VI PRISAA technical committee chairman,
yesterday said that they will also make an ocular inspection on
the billeting quarters of the school-based meet set in April.
Banzuela, who also serves as the Western Visayas PRISAA athletic
manager, said the results of the inspection will be presented next
month when they meet with the National PRISAA board of directors.
Banzuela will conduct the ocular inspection with Ivy Sta.
Ana of John B. Lacson Colleges Foundation-Iloilo, Nenet Bajador
of University of Iloilo, Lemuel Garduce of Central Philippine University
and Marlon Terroņes.
Meanwhile, Banzuela said that they are inviting Philippine Sports
Commissioner William "Butch" Ramirez to be the keynote speaker for
the opening ceremonies of the Regional PRISAA Games. The regional
event, which was topped by the Negrenses last year, will be co-hosted
by Iloilo and Capiz from Feb. 5-11. The athletics and football competitions
will be staged from Feb. 5-7 in Iloilo, while the other disciplines
are scheduled from Feb. 8-11 in Capiz. *CIT
