School board ok's P32M
for '07 Neg. Occ. budget

The Negros Occidental provincial School Board has approved a P32 million budget for 2007, Gov. Joseph Maraņon said yesterday.

Of the amount, Maraņon said, P1.7 million has been allocated for the hosting of the regional Palarong Pambansa meet by the province, he said.

Among the other allocations of the fund are P7.8 million for teacher extension positions, sports - P9.8 million, Negros Occidental Science High School - P1.4 million, construction of school building - P2 million, steel armchairs - P1 million, alternate learning system - P914,400;

Citizen development - P600,000, titling school site --P150,000, repair of school building - P270,829, purchase of textbooks and instructional materials - P2 million, human resource development - P1 millions, grants and contributions - P2.1 million, and gasoline - P100,000.*CPG
