Reunion, Christening

It was the third attempt of businessman Antonio Lopez Aldequer to be with childhood friends, classmates and schoolmates from Batch '60 high school of La Salle. And so, before coming, he called Cecile Azcona to contact friends for a dinner party at L'Fisher. As far as I can remember, that was the longest dinner I had as it started at 7 p.m. and ended 2 a.m., just enough for him to have a short sleep and take the flight back to Cebu.

During their high school day, girls all seemed to go gaga over Bidoy, and brother Fernando, together with the late Binggoy Sitchon and the rest of the team. The owner of ALA Promotion and Boxing gym in Cebu, Bidoy is also into exports in the Garment business, Cebu Television and promoter of big boxing events in Cebu. Married to Lou Patrano, they have three children, Jay, Michael and Chris. They have their own business.

More guests and friends arrived from the Sugar Tea Golf Tournament, Ma-ac Coscolluela, Ed Misa from Cebu and Bing Montelibano and boxing aficionado Monju Guanzon and Vic Tan, and many more.

Bidoy promised to be back for the Alumni Homecoming where he will be a recipient of awards.

The arrival of Tatiana Camile Marie to first time parents Talisay Vice Mayor Neil and his lovely wife Rowena brought so much joy and gladness, to her doting grand parents Macoy and Dolly Lopez and Boy Nilo and Nan Lizares.

The baptism was held at the Redemptorist Church, and Father Tobin officiated at the solemn ceremony. A dozen close friends attended, as well as the godparents of Tatiana headed by Mayor Eric Saratan and Dolly Lizares.

Dinner and reception followed at the Victorina Heights Clubhouse. This joyous occasion incidentally, was also the birthday of Mom Rowena.

My congratulations and best wishes to the proud parents and welcome to the Christian world Baby Tatiana.

REMEMBER:

"God is more interested in our availability than our ability, more in our Godliness than our gifts, more in our disposition than our position."*
