Julita elected NPC president

Veteran broadcaster Jun Julita is the new president of the 71-year-old Negros Press Club.

Julita garnered 37 votes while his opponent Toots Jimenez Jr. got 25 during the NPC election in Bacolod City Saturday.

Other elected officers who won unopposed were Cyrus Garde - vice president, Edgar Cadagat - secretary, Hence Boy Cestina - treasurer and Renato Duran - auditor. The new members of NPC board of directors are Jun Lapu-os, Anthony Visitacion, Bamby Yngson, Angelino "Boy" Ciocon and Nonoy Lampines.*
