PRA yet to respond to
land titling request

Bacolod City Legal Officer Allan Zamora yesterday said the Philippine Reclamation Authority has not yet responded to the request of the city to have the titles of the ports at the Reclamation Area in Bacolod City transferred in the name of the City of Bacolod.

He said that under the tripartite memorandum of agreement between the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp., the city and the Public Estate Authority, it is the PEA (now the PRA) that has the responsibility to have the shares of the city titled in its name.

Zamora said that since the PRA has not yet responded to their letter, the Mayor will make a follow up regarding the status of their request next week.

A resolution earnestly reiterating previous resolutions on the titling of the ports at the Reclamation Area of Bacolod City and for an update on the matter was unanimously passed by the Bacolod Sangguninang Panlungsod.

The SP also nominated Councilor Jude Thaddeus Sayson to be the liaison or emissary between the SP and City Mayor's Office to assist in the titling of the ports in the name of the City of Bacolod.*CGS .
