GSP to hold
encampment

About 1000 girl and adult campers will join the Negros Occidental Girl Scouts Council Provincial and Senior Encampment on the theme "New Challenges, New Opportunities," tomorrow until Sunday, at the Paglaum Village, in Binalbagan town, a GSP press release said.

The event kicks off with a parade at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow followed by a program with Board Member Emilio Yulo III as keynote speaker.

Binalbagan National High School and Binalbagan Elementary School II are the camp venues.

Supporting the activity are Mayor Emmanuel Aranda, the town council, Binalbagan Districts I and II GSP leaders, and provincial girl scout officials headed by Aida Lizares, Ruby Velez - vice president for Field, Feliciana Claridad - program commissioner, Lavender Hipolito - training commissioner, Nenita Gabayeron - assistant secretary, Lina Perez - training committee vice chair, Rosario Canindo - technical assistant, and Carmencita Roble - executive director; with District II field adviser Elena Yocogco, the press release added.*

playing contest set

The annual memory and sight playing contest of the SOJ Music Studio will be held on Feb. 24, a press release from the studio in Bacolod City said.

Contestants in the Elementary A level are Angela Gamboa, Janice Uychiat, Errika Uychiat, Jasmine Gangoso, Franco Montilla, Timothy Ureta and Kiel Hermusura;

Elementary B -- Nicole Leonardia, Hazel Javellana, Jessa Ivana Sian, Alyssa Gangoso;

Elementary C - Megan Arroz, Dominique Coo, Danica Jacinto, Kristina Enriquez, Paulene Ramirez, Sharina Parrocho, Victorino Alcala, Katherine Layon, Jess Ivan Sian, Gregory Cu;

Elementary D - Rosarita Mesina, RJ Ledesma, Mikahil Ermac, Leandro Montilla, Rizalino de Leon, Ken Zata, and Judy Grace Baniquet;

Elementary E - Patrick Ma-apni, Cassandra de Leon, Katherine Formilleza, John Cary Garingalao, Karina Villanueva;

Elementary F - Loreanne Loriezo, Niecy Grace Ganza, Devin Gayoles; Intermediate A - Daniela Mesina, Jessica Mesina, and Joanne Grace Liu.

Trophies will be given to the top three winners in each category and certificates of participation will be given to the finalists, the press release added.*
