No compromise deal
in '04 -- Camposano

Dr. Jorge Camposano yesterday said that there was no financial and compromise deal with businessman Eduardo "Danding" Cojuangco when he ran for mayor in Bago City in 2004.

"No deal nor any compromise negotiation happened at the last minute," Camposano said at a press conference he called in Bacolod yesterday.

He said he and Cojuangco have never met for any kind of electoral talk.

Camposano assured the people of 4th District and the Bago City voters who supported him last 2004 election that his vision and willingness to serve are alive and ready for a new electoral challenge in the whole of the 4th District for the promotion of social justice, poverty alleviation and peace and security. He said environmental programs will be his development agenda and priority programs especially sectoral empowerment for sustainable development.

He called for political maturity among the voters and for a change in leadership.

He also appealed to the media to help secure the people's votes during and after election day.

He did not say, however, if he is running for mayor of Bago or congressman of the fourth district.*
