A day before the start of the election period, five more police
officers occupying key positions were affected by reshuffling within
the Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office.
This brought to 12 the number of police officers given new
assignments before the election period, which started Jan. 14.
Affected by the revamp effective Jan. 13 were Senior Inspectors
Santiago Rapiz and Rone Grajo, Police Inspectors Nestor Tuadles,
Libertad Teruel and Louie Figueroa.
Grajo has been designated as officer-in-charge of the E.B.
Magalona police, replacing Rapiz who is now assigned at the NOPPO
headquarters.
Tuadles who is due for schooling in Cebu for career advancement,
was replaced by his deputy, SPO2 Ernesto Enerio.
Teruel, Bago police deputy chief, was transferred to NOPPO
headquarters.
Senior Supt. Rosendo Franco, provincial police director, yesterday
said he has not yet chosen the successor of Figueroa as Cauayan
police chief. He also announced that the designations of Chief Inspector
Calixto Mabugat as Silay police chief, Inspectors Danilo Zuniega
and Anthony Cana as station commanders of the Calatrava Hinobaan
police, respectively, are permanent in status, effective Jan. 13.
Other police officers given new assignments on Jan. 8 were
Inspector Gabriel Gutierrez - Ilog Police Station, Senior Inspector
Gary Alan Resuma - Binalbagan Police Station, Senior Inspector Virgilio
de la Cruz - Candoni Police Station, Chief Inspector Joseph Martir
- Talisay City Police Station;
Inspector Eduardo Corpus - San Enrique Police Station, Supt.
Jerry Bartolome - 614th Provincial Mobile Group and Supt. Larry
Decena - NOPPO operations chief.
Other junior police officers who are due for schooling in Cebu
are Senior Inspectors Bonifer Gotas, Raymond Maningo, and Inspector
