Celebrations

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

Although several days have gone by, the spirit of the holiday season still lives, captured in our memories and photographs.

As part of a nearly two-decade tradition, Bob and Agnes Cuenca and family, gathered their 200 employees and treated them to a sumptuous buffet dinner party at Casa Maria Hall. It was a fun night of games, prizes and surprises, where every employee received a gift.

The lucky ten employees bought home colored TV sets and a trisikad, with the former as a traditional prize given yearly for the past 15 years.

Quan Marketing guro Chole Cuenca-Chua was the lively emcee of the night and her siblings Carla Gequillana and Bobby Cuenca gave her their full support. The party is a group yuletide celebration of the family conglomerate composed of Saranggola, Quan, Pueblo, Micro Agro Marine Resources and hacienda office staff head Bob Cuenca.

A memorable yuletide celebration was held by Tele Tech at Bacolod Pavilion that was attended by 700 employees. Each department presented a broadway musical, complete with impressive costumes! Executives of this international firm were likewise seen on stage as actors and singers presenting a well-applauded Greece Musical. According to the expats, Bacolod is a safe, clean, and business friendly city. They say we have a distinctive southern charm that you can't find anywhere else.

Seen during that night was Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia, VP and GM of Teletec Maulik Parekh, Executive Director Scott Sim, Site Director Michael Sendall, SOM Michael Tanner, BCS Sunel Tan, Michelle Gallaga, Country Director Isabel Balles.

YAP BIRTHDAY

Henry S. Yap recently celebrated his 50th birthday with close friends and relatives at the family farm in Brgy Atipuluan. About 200 guests came and greeted the EPCIB area head. Guests were treated to letchon baka, pork letchon, bangus and talaba, and a wide array of goodies straight from the oven of the family bakeshop.*
