Balikbayan season

Everybody looks forward to the Yuletide season, especially the balikbayans across the sea who always try their best to come home to spend the Christmas holidays with their families and loved ones.

In town are our balikbayan friends Carmen Angudong, Vicky Antiporda and Thanee Trebol, with Delia Tad-y, all from the land of Milk and Honey, California Dreaming, USA. Carmen has been a resident for 31 years and works at an architectural lighting design company, while Vicky works for an insurance firm, and Thanee is a B.S. Psychology graduate of the University of California, Sta. Cruz.

They could hardly rest with all the invitations extended to them, since all have been very accommodating hosts while in California. Among these was a "Hello and Goodbye" Party hosted by Waldo and Chona Flores, Bobby and Sonny Sabino in the new spacious, gorgeous house of son Marlo and Laura Sabino.

All will be leaving tomorrow back to sunny California, and looking forward again to the next holiday. They said six weeks is not enough.

The President's Gym, held its blessing recently with the ribbon cutting headed by Macoy Lopez, president and Rowena Lizares, while Fr. Mitchel Guadalupe blessed every nook and cranny of the place.

The gym is located at Lacson Street.
