Lettermen launching new CD

The Lettermen, one of the most enduring vocal groups in music history, is launching a new CD this month - The Lettermen Live in the Philippines.

The album will include such favorites such as "Venus," "Cherish/Precious and Few," "Sealed with a Kiss" and "You'll Never Walk Alone."

And, as a special treat, Tagalog songs such as "Dahil Sa Iyo," "Hindi Kita Malimot," and "Sapagkat Kami Ay Tao Lamang" are also included on this CD, a press release from promoters said yesterday.

The new album is a product of the famous trio's hugely successful tour of the country exactly a year ago when they rediscovered the warm adulation of countless Filipinos who have grooved to their romantic music since the 1960s, the press release said. And what better place to launch the CD than right here in the Philippines where The Lettermen will once again delight their fans in a six-city tour of Manila, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Clark.

The trio, currently composed of Tony Butala, Donovan Scott Tea, and Mark Preston, are performing at the University of St. La Salle gymnasium in Bacolod on January 13.*
