Negrense strongman Arniel Ferrera added another victory in the international arena to his coffers by grabbing the gold medal in the Malaysia Open with a heave of 57.11 meters.

For the first time, the 24-year-old Ferrera also competed in the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar last month. He settled for seventh place in the men's hammer throw event, but established his season's best mark by registering a 57.50-m effort.*
