The Bacolod City Treasurer's Office collection from
business taxes, regulatory fees and other license fees increased
by 11 percent in 2006, figures it released yesterday show.
The CTO raked in P197,406,435.30 last year up by
P19,540,592.10 from the 2005 collection of P177,865,843.27. Permits
and Licensing Division chief Ardis Jaculina said the city's business
tax collection has been boosted by the CTO's continuing aggressive
collection campaign.
She said that the innovation of the one-stop-shop
business permits processing the city implemented starting last
year has also contributed to better revenues from business taxes
and licensing fees.
